Vice President Sen. Kashim Shettima (GCON) held a series of strategic engagements on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) 2025 in New York, strengthening Nigeria’s international partnerships.
In a bilateral meeting with President Nadi Nadibia of Namibia, both leaders committed to deepening cooperation, with the Namibian President announcing plans for an official visit to Nigeria.
This marks a renewed momentum in strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
The Vice President also engaged the Gates Foundation delegation led by CEO Mark Zusman.
Discussions centered on Nigeria’s development priorities in agriculture, healthcare, and human capital.
The Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Nigeria’s reform agenda, with a strong focus on innovation, technology, and sustainable solutions.
These engagements reflect the government’s determination to leverage global partnerships for inclusive growth, economic transformation, and social development.
